Ultrastructural Pathology Online is designed primarily as a learning resource for pathology residents. | |
| Diagnostic Electron Microscopy | Electron microscopy (EM) has contributed extensively to the understanding of cell structure and function as well as provided insight into pathologic processes. Cytogenetic, molecular and immunohistochemical methods for the diagnosis of disease entities have replaced EM as a major diagnostic tool. As pathology program directors make use of scarce resources, less time is devoted to the study of EM. The goal of this online site is to provide a suitable climate for self paced learning of EM. | |
